Black and White Stripes

Top: Gap // Skirt: Vintage score (made in the USA!) // Necklace: Spike The Punch // Bag: Rebecca Minkoff (via Gilt) // Shoes: Goodwill // Shades: Ray Ban // Accesories: Hello Fab, InPink, iSanctuary

Okay, I know, I know. I promised to wear less black this year.  However, Kristina over at Pretty Shiny Sparkly is hosting another edition of "Bloggers Do It Better" and the assignment this time was Black and White Stripes.

Bloggers Do It Better

If you're interested in seeing how other fashion bloggers (woah, did I just throw myself in as a fashion blogger?) take on this spring trend, then head on over to Pretty Shiny Sparkly to all the posts that are linked up for the series.

How are you incorporating black and white stripes into your spring wardrobe?

  1. I've been dying to get my hands on a leather skirt like this, but I can't find one anywhere! It looks great on you–and I love the way you popped it with the neon necklace!

    1. Thanks Alyssa! I found this in a vintage store in DC. I'm pretty sure I got it on sale (it was a half price rack item) for $20. I don't think I could run out of the store fast enough with it.

    1. Nnenna - thank you so much! I'm not usually one to think leather works for the spring and summer, but apparently that's in this year. Thank you for stopping by.

  6. I like the pop of (neon) color the necklace adds to the outfit. And the leather pencil skirt is very edgy.

  7. Love stripes! I just recently did a post on 9 different ways to wear stripes, and I was awed at how versatile they really are. I love how you took this outfit in an edgy direction with the skirt and then added that fun bright necklace to add some color. The look is so rich and luxurious, but still fun!
